| Description | Testbed currently has a configurable static value for the number of operations that can be done in parallel. The problem with this is that when the system is adopting itself, some operations get timedout. This can be addressed with an adaptive mechanism where the system monitors the operation failures and thus can determine the number of parallel operations that it can cope up with. | ||||

A simple failure-based feedback system is not enough. Failures of parallel operations cannot effectively determine the load on the system. The feedback system should try to consider the average time taken for each operation and should decided the bound on parallelism. |

SVN 25674 has adaptive parallelism. The decision to increase/decrease parallelism is based on calculating the deviation of the time take by an operation to complete. |
