This failure seems to be from test_testbed_api_testbed_run becoming unresponsive. |

|
This failure is not observed when the number of peers to be created/started in the above test is set to small numbers ~ 2,3. However, for bigger numbers it becomes unresponsive. This is experienced after creating & starting all peers - the communication between testbed api and testbed service is getting blocked when a stop_peer operation is called. |

More debugging: * 472 is the success peer start/stop event message. * 468 is message to stop a peer, sent from api to service * When the first 468(peer_stop) message is sent, there is no immediate response from service (on other platforms, this doesn't occur) and the test times out * When, the test is aborted the testbed api calls peer_stop on all running peers. This explains the following 468 type messages. Notice that none of them get responded to by the service * After sometime, with a SIGINT the helper tries to kill the service and then the service starts to respond to the previous peer_stop messages. * Also, notice the pipe errors when the service tries to stop the peers |

It is observed that processes started by gnunet-helper-testbed and gnunet-service-testbed always use pipes to send signal. This is unnecessary if the system supports signals. |

signaling through system call instead of pipes seem to have solved this problem. fixed in 25481, although this leaves us with the question why there was a problem with the pipe-signaling? |
