The original SVG image file with GNU Taler's logo seemed damaged (somehow distorted), so I changed it for a proper one. As the documentation site is a heavily nested web site, I preferred to not only replace the SVG in /images, but also saved it in /_static/_static as path used for the favicon. |

Done. The proper SVG file consumes only 1.5 kB of space and looks fine, serves as favicon and at different places in the docs wherever used. |
