| Description | service configuration for tcp service is inconsistent with other services in regard to binding to a specific IPv6 address/port while other services offer two config options BINDTO= and BINDTO6= each accepting a respective IPv4/6 address the tcp service has only BINDTO= which - according to source code (tcp_service_legacy.c) - accepts a hostname, which is then resolved to either a v4 or a v6 address | ||||

True, albeit with TNG we're hoping to replace that entire piece of code. Hence I'm not sure it's worth fixing this issue at this time. |
