| Description | This is a meta-bug about implementing the requirements for KYC registration of merchants. Given what we think we know today, it will not suffice to collect a payto://-IBAN URI to satisfy KYC requirements. Instead, merchants will have to supply quite a bit of information to each exchange. This changes a few things: * We need to create a detailed specification of the KYC attributes to collect and a Web site in the merchant backend to allow the merchant to enter this information * merchant backend and its support for 'accounts' per instance (0004939) * auditor needs an API to list all audited exchanges (so that merchant backends can register at each automatically), related to 0005409 * the wallet likely no longer needs to be adopted to payto:// (0005322) And of course all of these changes will need to be coordinated and fit together. After discussions with ECB, it seems we might indeed be able to rely on bank's KYC when opening accounts, so deprioritizing this for now. |
