Summary0002541: Dynamic bandwidth management
DescriptionActually the bandwidth management is done statically, by splitting the available bandwidth between the number of active connections.

Will have situations where some connection will not fully utilize their share of bandwidth and it will be wasted.

The bandwidth is a very valuable resource for an p2p application, and a smart allocation algorithm is needed to an efficient network.

bratao/LRN: bandwidth is not split up exactly equally among all peers, it depends also on how much they actually use/provide, and higher-level apps can state preferences which should be taken into account. However, if little is going on and all neighbours behave pretty much the same way, then yes, they will end up with pretty equal shares.

We have different quota values for different networks

We also have the simplistic approach implemented taking the preferences from higher level applications in account and the mlp approach is implemented.

ML will follow.
