| Summary | 0002447: Shorten zone should be configurable | ||||
| Description | It should be possible to make the shorten zone a subzone of private (shorten.private.gnunet) or root (shorten.gnunet). At the moment the shorten zone is always a subzone of the private zone. | ||||

Fixed in SVN. The config keys SHORTEN_ZONEKEY and PRIVATE_ZONEKEY define the respective zones for the user. The shorten API now taked private and shorten zones as required arguments. The GNS service will try to look up the names of those zones. Private: Only in root zone Shorten: If private not found in root zone it will check in root zone. If private is found in root zone it will first check in private then in root zone. This logic is only necessary for the shortening algorithm. The name(s) for the zones can now be chosen arbitrarily. For name shortening to work the private zone HAS to be in the root zone and the shorten zone either in the root or private zone. |
