| Summary | 0001537: Content served with https/SSL not accessible for many browsers | ||||
| Description | The /src/examples/https_fileserver_example.c and also some own code doesnt play well with following browsers: links, Opera, this iphone thing, Safari, IE6+8. Usually something like "SSL Error" or "...Page cannot be loaded..." is shown as "error message". With Konqueror and Firefox content can be seen and everything works nicely. Also openssl shows the following " openssl s_client -connect localhost:9342 -debug -state CONNECTED(00000003) SSL_connect:before/connect initialization write to 0x8b9e1b8 [0x8b9f100] (118 bytes => 118 (0x76)) 0000 - 80 74 01 03 01 00 4b 00-00 00 20 00 00 39 00 00 .t....K... ..9.. 0010 - 38 00 00 35 00 00 16 00-00 13 00 00 0a 07 00 c0 8..5............ 0020 - 00 00 33 00 00 32 00 00-2f 03 00 80 00 00 05 00 ..3..2../....... 0030 - 00 04 01 00 80 00 00 15-00 00 12 00 00 09 06 00 ................ 0040 - 40 00 00 14 00 00 11 00-00 08 00 00 06 04 00 80 @............... 0050 - 00 00 03 02 00 80 2e 54-cc cd 9c 1f 38 af d8 71 .......T....8..q 0060 - 4a c7 df bc ff 3e 97 15-fe e3 6c bf 87 e7 00 e6 J....>....l..... 0070 - 8e e4 f4 50 8e 3d ...P.= SSL_connect:SSLv2/v3 write client hello A read from 0x8b9e1b8 [0x8ba4660] (7 bytes => 7 (0x7)) 0000 - 15 ff ff 00 02 01 ...... 0007 - <SPACES/NULS> SSL_connect:error in SSLv2/v3 read server hello A 6621:error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol:s23_clnt.c:583: " (which might be the underlying problem, as mentioned browsers probably use openssl). This isse might be related to following thread on the mailing list: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/libmicrohttpd/2010-01/msg00010.html The suggestion there is that the handshakes fail. Tested on debian lenny with (self-built) 0.4.2 and 0.4.4. | ||||
