| Summary | 0011620: Wallet apps (incl. taller-wallet-cli) just hang if /terms (exchange) missing + "NULL" terms cannot be accepted | ||||
| Description | While in a real-world scenario it makes sense and is also legally needed to have /terms (in this case: exchange), wallets should say they are aborting because of missing terms and not just keep the user in the void, without proper way even to return to the main screen. In one case (iOS), it was first possible to add the exchange not exposing terms, but then when trying to withdraw, it hanged there. Also it was not possible to accept the "terms" (being shown as NULL) in the list of payment providers; the blue accpet button usually disappears if it works, in this case it just sticked there, doing nothing. So, problem: apps might hang (at various locations) because of missing /terms. | ||||
| Additional Information | To be noted: /terms can also temporarily not be seen (server overload, temporary proxying issues etc.), such that a user might get directly stuck trying to use a payment provider; this should be avoided in terms of UX. | ||||
