| Additional Information | Could have been related to wrong virtual domain entries in postfix (which existed yesterday), if issue cannot be reproduced. If still existing, would also affect login w/ email auth. On it. | ||||

OK, issue very clearly still exists; when trying to log in using email:Unexpected error trying to send challenge The server's response was unexpected. This mean the client and the server are not in sync about the protocol. The POST request to https://my.taler-ops.ch/challenge/680-C32EXBRWWP19BAWXGYB054AC39VPRTTYSGEBD1323536BM8WN1VG failed with code 500 The request was made at 2026-03-24T14:27:55.252Z And the server say: "The backend failed to launch a helper process required for the multi-factor authentication step. The backend operator should check the logs and fix the Taler merchant backend configuration." SMS auth works, however. Must be email misconfig. Checking. |

Problem seen to be related to (own!) spam filtering / rspamd. On it. |

rspamd was deployed untested for own email delivery -> my bad; config relaxed for internal networks. |
