| Description | This is just for information that my request for obtaining an SMS to verify an update to the settings failed. A wire transfer deadline and the location of the merchant were changed and on confirmation both a verification code per SMS and email had to be obtained. While the code via email arrived, the SMS request failed with the attached error message. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | hacktivismch4sp with configured bank account; under menu item "Settings" / "Einstellungen" commit a change and get notified about SMS and code verification; try both. | ||||

I successfully set up and used for sign up and login both factors (instance: hacktivismch11sp), but let me check! |

Ty, I think, btw, this has to do with a short period of time where I missed to have the secrets set as env variables which the challenger tools are using to be able to send SMS through the services, clicksend and telesign, we have: -rwxr-xr-x challenger-send-sms-clicksend.sh 3409 logplain -rwxr-xr-x challenger-send-sms-telesign.sh 3924 logplain -rwxr-xr-x challenger-send-sms.sh 711 logplain Check here, in case of interest: https://git-www.taler.net/challenger.git/tree/src/challenger If this happens you don't have credentials set to send SMS, and then of course all scripts just fail. On my.taler-ops.ch this is configured via systemd and is not supposed to happen. On taler.hacktivism.ch I always run all commands manually to potentially discover new issues (in between); however, we should start having automated tests now such that something this obvious (making it not possible to sign up and potentially also to login, if you choose SMS; not allowing to change your PW, as you need two factors then etc.) cannot happen. |
