| Description | UX-wise this would help, as Swiss people perceive it for sure as strange if they see like the "sharp s" used in Germany: for a quick start, having all the strings replacing that symbol by "ss, adding that language and pre-select it based on equivalent iOS settings would be good. | ||||
| Additional Information | This would also help with two tickets from Oliver, where "francs" shall be mentioned explicitly in the text; this wouldn't make sense for German, Austria, Liechtenstein or German-speaking parts of Italy, on the other hand. | ||||

I agreed with Stephan to update the 7 concerned strings (exchange words with ß to others without - but not use ss instead) a few days ago - please check the latest Taler Nightly. More than 98% of the strings are identical anyway. Now if there were words which really need to be different (like Austrian "Erdäpfel" instead of "Kartoffeln"), then de_CH would make sense. Please give examples... |
