| Description | If you send or demand Kudos from the iOS Wallet-App and share it via a messenger like Signal to an Android device (maybe it's the same for two iOS devices), you just get a QR code which is not helpful on a mobile device. From a Android device this process works without problems. It sends a link, which is automatically open – after pressing okay – by the Taler Wallet. | ||||

Known problem: Some Messengers do not activate the automatic (universal) link detection and thus don't offer to open the talerURI link with Taler Wallet. Workaround: Copy the link, paste it into an e-mail, send that to yourself. Mail.app recognizes talerURI links, renders them blue and tappable, and if the user taps it offers to open it with the wallet. Better solution: iOS Wallet recognizes that the pasteBoard contains a "possible web URL" and checks whether it is a talerURI, and if so treats it as if the user scanned it (or tapped on it in an app with proper link detection). No need to paste it into a textfield - just copy the talerURI and then switch to Taler Wallet... There is a system setting in Settings -> Apps -> Taler Wallet named "Paste from Other Apps", with options "Ask", "Deny", "Allow"; default is "Ask". Of course, when set to "Deny" it doesn't work... |
