Summary0010871: To change an email address in the Merchant Backoffice on the settings page: app reload when pressing enter key
DescriptionOn the settings page in an admin instance of the Taler Merchant Backend (we tested v1.2.6 on my.taler-ops.ch on Jan 13), we wanted to test changing the email address of a merchant. An SMS was received with a TAN code which was entered.

The first attempt to change was negative: the email address showed up to be the same as before. Even after logout and login the address persisted. Only the second attempt to change it was performed successfully, another SMS was received with a TAN code which was entered.

This test was performed only once, but with two witnesses (HM, SK). If you think this makes sense to test again, please go for it.

i can't reproduce it

maybe the server failed the first time? it would be strange that the UI didn't show anything after a error response from the server.

can you reproduce it?

confirmed on QC meeting. the problem is when you use the keyboard instead of clicking the button

Exactly this case is a pretty example for the Quality Checkpoint meeting to be effective and useful for all of us. Thank you for caring. When this bug is fixed, let me or HM perform a quick test so that we can be sure the function works reliably.

i check all the forms in backoffice that could have this behavior and fix those (around 50 forms)

After this fix all forms should have the same behavior as clicking the "confirm" button, only when the data is validated of course.
