| Summary | 0010703: Test reusing same IBAN on new taler-merchant installation | ||||
| Description | While on taler.hacktivism.ch, issues were observed using the same IBAN for different shops, from issues with "no kyc required" notes appearing to the account being listed, but not usable to create orders, it shall be checked if this is an install-/domain-wide issue only, that is, depending on where the taler merchant instance of that shop resides or if an IBAN must be globally (global for the TOPS/CHF exchange) unique and only used by one shop only for such a bank account to be configured in a workable condition. | ||||
| Additional Information | Not a blocker for 0010630: if someone attempts this, we can easily say it's not yet (well) tested. It's (for me) not clear if this shall even be a feature. In any case, an exchange operator might decide to allow or disallow this. As for what concerns using the same IBAN for two shops: This may or may not be a good idea; but it cannot be excluded to be attempted, e.g., for couples with one account and different services a/o goods offered, using thus distinct shops or even just one person using the same IBAN for various shops, which that person wants to be distinct; in CH at least for smaller shops, this can be done for sure, as it's also not strictly necessary to found a company to sell services a/o goods; cf. "Einfache Gesellchaft": https://www.kmu.admin.ch/kmu/de/home/praktisches-wissen/kmu-gruenden/firmengruendung/auswahl-rechtsform/einfache-gesellschaft.html A probable simple case thus will certainly be, a person with just one personal IBAN also uses that for (smaller) commercial purposes in multiple ways, generating some (additional) income streams. | ||||
