Summary0009558: taler-exchange-transfer neither logs warning nor stores failure on 5xx response from TWG
DescriptionWhen the Taler wire gateway API response with 5xx, taler-exchange-transfer seems to simply retry. There is no warning logged, it just retries seemingly forever.

Additionally, it's kinda weird that the wireout_uuid is not a UUID but a serial bigint.

I really don't see how there is a path that wouldn't log a 50x. Please look at the code, you must have missed something in journald is my best guess.

Yep, this was a fluke! I was confused by the long delay until the error logs, as well as the large batch size.
