Unfortunately, the German internationalisation in the Merchant Backend shows the same string as main menu list item "Überweisungs-ID" which is simply wrong. Instead, https://weblate.gnunet.org/translate/gnu-taler/merchant-backoffice/en/?checksum=40e2956d2456e6fd (source string location packages/merchant-backoffice-ui/src/paths/instance/transfers/list/Table.tsx:62 ) should be the string for the menu list item which is "Wire transfers" in English and "Überweisungen" in German. It would make sense to apply the latest translations from Weblate's repository to taler-typescript-core.git and have them processed to the po files for the Taler Merchant Backoffice-UI. Especially double-check the two strings mentioned above. Wording and terminology in the main menu list are currently still object to be reworked. | |

| Yes, that's fine with me too. I'll keep an eye on the strings disappearing from Weblate to optimise the translations. When this bug ticket takes effect, the "Wire transfers" menu item in the Merchant Backoffice UI will only be used to _display_ wire transfers (all, verified, unverified) and will not require any further action on the part of the merchant user. Consequently, the "Wire transfers" menu item could be moved to a section in the main menu where items are listed that only display data. --> This could help reduce complexity for the average user. | |
| It would do a favor to several apps - including but not limited to the Merchant Backend - by updating the source strings for internationalisation. I made some changes to the sources in English that were not yet processed to show up in the .pot files of the affected apps. Therefore, please apply pogen, especially to the Merchant Backend/Merchant Backoffice UI, so that Weblate will display these strings after snychronisation with git as "Needs editing" on the platform, where I could consequently accept these strings and return the translations to the .po files in the git. In order to get an impression of what I mean see the attached screenshot showing one example (for many). THX! | |
| Nice reminder, now with lifted urgency: We definitely need very soon the po files updated and the "Wire transfer" screen deleted. Not just because internationalisation looks awful but also due to the UX we want to streamline and showcase pretty soon. THX for caring. | |

| Reopening this ticket as neither internationalisation nor the "Wire transfer"-page issue were treated, at least from what I can see and test on - taler.hacktivism.ch - backend.test.taler.net with both subdomains having the latest stable version of Merchant Backend and the Backoffice UI running (indicating 1.2.2 although it IS 1.2.3, but this is another issue)... ... see the screenshots attached | |
| Not only the "Wire transfer" menu item shows under German lang environment the old obsolete string, but clicking on "Wire transfers" / "Überweisungs-ID" on taler.hacktivism.ch leads to an ugly error message. | |
