| Hi Jonas, I've just tested it with my phone number, and it works fine. I also see no errors in the logs at the SMS service provider or on our end :-(. So my guess is: either there is/was a Sunrise problem,and/or maybe you blocked our SMS provider's phone number? It is not always the same, but right now it is +447873077777. Please check if that number is blocked on your end! | |
| I do not see that I have blocked that number (and get other TANs from various countries) so I am also confused about where the problem is. Anyway, I will try with snail mail and see if I get a letter instead... | |

| Opened Telesign case 01048853 on this. We clearly need to start monitoring telesign.com for failures and resend via another provider if those happen. So that'll make the entire SMS sending logic way more complex :-(. | |
| Telesign answered: "We have performed some changes on our side to resolve the issue with delivery to the affected number. " -- I retested, and this time it worked. We should still implement an automatic retry with another provider eventually. | |
| I've now written new shell scripts with a fallback from telesign to clicksend and added them to challenger/libeufin/anastasis. Ansible deployment of the new secrets for challenger is still missing. See https://git.taler.net/ansible-taler-exchange.git/tree/roles/challenger/templates/etc/challenger/sms-challenger.env.j2 for where the new secrets are used. We need to add them to the various inventories before enabling them in the j2 file. Note that the current situation is harmless: if the secrets are not available, the fallback script fails clean. | |
