|Summary||0005535: new website: import old news|
|Description||convert relevant news items from the Drupal page to jinja2 html.|
If you are not sure what is "relevant", just ask or import everything, triage to be done later.
By import I mean 1 Drupal BLOG post (not every node!) ends up in 1 jinja2 file which can be included by the system described in 0005522

||I would say "irrelevant" are things that are uninteresting. Ancient releases, announcements about meetings that are long in the past (without included meeting notes or recordings), stuff like that. Basically, if too boring, omit.|
I don't like this approach.
If we have written it, why delete it? It's similar to how we can't link to news on this new website. People expect to find news and articles in a permanent place (which is why I think a subsystem to handle news is important).
So are we throwing out old news because they are boring? That's no reason enough to discard news for me.
